Playing at Amberwood
The following are a few courtesy "rules" that we ask each player to follow in order to ensure the enjoyment of the course by as many as possible and to help make your visit to Amberwood as positive as possible, both for you and your group as well as for others playing on the course.
Please note that it is our policy to verify that anyone booking tee times (whether in person or on the phone) is aware of our policies of dress and play (specifically that each golfer has their own set of clubs and that no one plans to 'walk' the course). This is to ensure that all members of the party are prepared when they arrive and to avoid disappointment should they not be in adherence of our codes of dress and conduct. |
Please be aware that 'walkers,' that is individuals not wishing to play, are not permitted on our course.
CODES OF CONDUCT AND ETIQUETTE
CHECK IN
Every player must check-in to the Pro-Shop prior to playing golf. Guests will be checked by Pro-Shop personnel for proper dress and will acquire a golf bag tag as proof of payment. Players will be checked against the starting sheet. All golfers should arrive at the club early enough so that they can be “ready to play” and check in with the Marshal at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled tee-off time. |
EQUIPMENT
Every player must have their own set of golf clubs. Sharing of clubs is not permitted. Clubs may be rented from the Pro-Shop as required. Persons without proper equipment are not permitted to walk the course or ride along with others. |
POWER CARTS
Amberwood has a limited number of electric riding carts (a.k.a. Power Carts). Generally, requests do not exceed our capabilities, however, there are times when all are in use and we must refuse rentals based on availability. We apologize that we may not be able to accommodate all golfers. Please request that one be reserved upon booking the tee time.
All golfers renting power carts must sign a power cart license agreement. We may not rent power carts to any individuals not in possession of their own valid driver's license.
Any golfers found to be abusing the privilege of using a driving cart and found to be damaging the course as a result of reckless driving will be asked to immediately vacate the premises and may be refused rental of power carts in the future. |
GOLF GROUPS
Golfers in numbers from one to four may play the course. No group may be in excess of four golfers. The Pro-Shop and/or Marshals may be required to place smaller groups together to form foursomes in order to accommodate a busy course if there is a need to do so. |
PACE OF PLAY
The Pro-Shop plans for 2-hour rounds when they book tee times. Therefore, it is expected that normally golfers will finish 9-holes of golf in this time frame. Golfers falling behind this pace-of-play may be asked to speed up. A completely empty hole in front of you may be evidence of slow play. Please cooperate with the on-duty Marshal if requested to “speed up.” It is also asked that if you plan to take a break between two rounds of 9-holes that you schedule accordingly with the Pro-Shop |
.CANCELLATIONS
All golfers are required to call the Pro-Shop to cancel bookings when they cannot keep them. The Pro-Shop does not assume cancellations during inclement weather. Your cooperation is appreciated in this matter. |
CODE OF DRESS AND DEPORTMENT
We have a private-club style dress code in effect. We ask all players (juniors included) to abide by these rules and codes. Should one refuse, you will be asked to leave the course.
