ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2024
The AVRA Board of Directors invites all AVRA Homeowner Members to attend an in-person Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The AGM will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 7 p.m. at Amberwood Lounge & Eatery (ALE), 54 Springbrook Drive. The AGM is an opportunity to hear directly from the board members on what has been accomplished this past year and what they have planned for the future. It also gives you an opportunity to ask questions and cast your vote on the election of Board members.

You will find the 2024 AGM Agenda and Proxy form posted on our website in the reference documents section. The 2023 Annual Report and the Minutes from the 2023 AGM are also posted on our website, with these in a password protected space - the password is AVRA1981!!
The agenda also includes the election of Board Members.
As per the Amberwood Village Recreation Association By-laws (updated May, 2023) Section 2 Board of Directors, and Section 3 Election of Directors:
The election of directors shall be by show of hands, or paper or electronic ballot, or otherwise by such other manner as the President may direct.
If you are unable to attend the AVRA Homeowner AGM meeting on April 29, 2024, we solicit your Proxy (see Amberwood website for Proxy form). You have the right to appoint any member of AVRA. However, if you are voting ‘for’ all the motions outlined in appendix (A) of the attached agenda, we respectfully request that you appoint the AVRA Secretary as your proxy. This would greatly simplify and speed up the voting process. Either way, your proxy must be filed with (electronically or physically delivered to) Christine Adam-Carr, the Secretary of AVRA 24 hours prior to the start of the meeting. Christine’s address is 14 Heather Glen Court. If you are unable to drop-off your proxy, please email info@amberwoodvillage.ca or call Christine at 613-831-0800 and request that your proxy be picked up. A reminder that there shall be only one vote per condo unit or single-family residence.

The AVRA Board of Directors is committed to communicating in an open and transparent manner to its membership in order that it can carry out its duties as defined in its Bylaws, "to maintain such surveillance and take such action as required by corporate law and as appear appropriate and reasonable to best ensure the continued existence, viability, and value of the Association's assets for the use and enjoyment of the residents of Amberwood Village; and in so doing, contribute to maintaining and enhancing the property values of the owners."
