Code of Conduct

The Amberwood Golf and Country Club is a public facility.  Everyone is welcome to enjoy the golf course, pool, tennis and pickle ball courts and restaurant. The following standard of conduct is expected in all interactions with fellow players, members, Board members and staff.

Everyone is expected to demonstrate respectful, civil and courteous behaviour while enjoying the amenities of Amberwood.

All members, visitors, staff and Board members are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that:

  •  Creates an environment reflective of the personal integrity and respect taught in the rules of golf that assume we are capable of enforcing rules upon ourselves with honesty, integrity and good sportsmanship. This same spirit is expected whether on the golf course, at the swimming pool, on the tennis and pickleball courts, in the member games rooms, or on all premises of the Club.
  • Acknowledges Amberwood Golf and Country Club as a family friendly environment and, therefore, refrains from behavior inappropriate for children and good taste.
  • Observes proper etiquette on and off the course; in and around the pool, courts and club house.
  • Demonstrates respect and dignity to fellow members, staff and visitors.
  • Does not damage the character, integrity, good will, or property of Amberwood, its staff, members or guests.
  • Does not trespass on residential property bordering the course.
  • Adheres to ALL club rules that address
  • Sign in procedures in the Pro Shop
    • Rental and safe operation of carts
    • Guidelines concerning the areas on which carts are not allowed off the paths (greens and fringe)
    • Use and proper care of putting green
    • Use of swimming pool area and obeying lifeguard direction
    • Use of tennis and pickleball courts and equipment provided by the Club
    • Respecting and maintaining the physical appearance of Amberwood
  • Reports real or perceived safety hazards to staff and/or club General Manager.
  • Makes suggestions and/or directives to the club General Manager regarding the operation of the club throughthe Board.
  • Does not denigrate, talk down to, raise their voice to staff members, club members or members of the public.
  • Any suggestions or complaints concerning the operation of Amberwood, the attitude or conduct of staff, members or guests should advise the General Manager.

COVID 19 PROTOCALS

Now, more than ever though, it is CRITICAL that we CONTINUE TO BE SAFE in 2021.

 

IF YOU ARE FEEL SICK, OR HAVE COVID SYMPTOMS – STAY HOME!

These protocols MUST be adhered too, if not you will be asked to leave the Club.

We will continue to focus on maintaining the Health & Safety of our Members, Guests, and Staff to help ensure golf remains a safe activity for all to enjoy.  To help with this please see below for how we will have our Club set up to ensure covid safety.

1)         No walk-ups will be allowed on the property,   Plan to arrive 20 minutes before your tee time and or court booking to avoid congestion around in the pro shop and on the tee.

2)         All tennis and pickleball courts must be booked by calling the proshop at 613-836-2581 ext 303.  Please ensure social distancing when possible.

3)         Only 3 person will be permitted in the Pro Shop at a time, unless you live in the same household.

4)         When entering the clubhouse a mask must be worn at all times and members will be required to bring their own mask.

5)         All tee times must have the names of everyone playing with a telephone number to assist with contact tracing.

6)         The course is very busy again this season and pace of play will remain a top priority to help ensure everyone can finish their round.  Golfers will be paired up with others wherever possible.

7)  Pickleball and tennis courts are availabe to host doubles and round robin play.

Men

  • Golf shirt with collar and sleeves
  • Golf slacks – please refrain from blue jeans, tee-shirts or track pants
  • Walking shorts with a 6 ½” inseam, or no more than 2″ above the knee
  • Socks or ankle socks must be worn
  • Golf spikes/soft spikes or flat-soled running shoes – no cleats please
  • Golf sandals are permitted

Ladies

  • Golf shirt or sleeveless golf shirt
  • Golf slacks – please refrain from wearing blue jeans, tee-shirts or track pants pantsWalking shorts with a 6 ½” inseam
